Résumé

Name: Cody is my call name, though they also call me Mr Puppy Features, Chocky Boy, Cody Bear or Bear. Oh yes, and there's that official thing too: Volku' Cookies N Cream. Ian and Jennie say they chose it because it suits my colour and sweet personality.

Date and Place of Birth: 3rd December, 1998; Melbourne, Australia; at the place with the pear tree, and the huge dam to swim in!

Address: Just across from the Golden Retriever named Elliot, not far from the barky little white thing, and in a place where lots of different people live very close. Odd... There aren't any swimming holes around here.

Education

I was a ring-in at the puppy class where mum teaches a couple of times, and I have also been to Husky Club training, where I get to chase Nikita a lot, and clean up all the food people have dropped. I have also been going to this place where the dog in front shows me how to stand still and smart, while a strange human tries to make me wiggle, touching me in places I don't want to talk about. Mum and dad say it's 'the show ring'. Mum pretends we are there sometimes, asking me to imagine the other dog showing me how to stand. I always forget how to stand without that dog in front of me. Mum just doesn't understand that I need them there.

Skills

I am really good at finding bones, then telling everyone they are MINE ALL MINE! I am good at playing cute, snuggly and sweet, because it gets me all sorts of treats and privileges. I can also sit beautifully because that gets me food from kind humans other than mum and dad. I then get the pleasure of watching a human get told off for feeding me when I do that.

By far though, my best ability is talking. I can bark, whinge and howl in any given combination. Mum and dad just don't get it! They obviously have no concept of dog type language. I always ask really nicely to come in, go for a walk etc. before I start to get noisy about it. I guess they don't understand because even when I say please (the type of little whinge that is accompanied by a head tilt) I get really mad when they say no, or ignore me. That is nothing on how mad I get (the screaming, barking and not stopping for breath type of noise) when they take the car out without me! Don't they realise I ALWAYS want to go with them?

Hobbies

I love to play. I enjoy playing with toys, other dogs, children and even adult humans. I love to have fun, smile and lick, chew or eat! I like cleaning up, consuming anything chewy on the ground (acorns, sticks, poisonous berries... mum always stops me from eating them! Licking is really fun. It makes people happy. Toes are also very tasty, but mum cringes when I lick feet for some reason. I also love to dig. I am working on a den at the moment, and then there is that tunnel to Siberia.

Personality

I am cute, cuddly and in your face. I always ask nicely for what I want, in the same way a pretty neon sign might catch your attention, so I guess you could call me BOLD. I am always being told I should watch where I am going, as mum and dad tell me I have stepped on them and hurt them, oh yes, and there is that window I broke (oops!). I will follow you around the house like a shadow, and particularly enjoy lying by your feet on the kitchen floor. I always have a nose for mischief, not wanting to miss out on anything, so if I leave mum she gets suspicious. More so than anything else though, I am very sweet, enjoying a cuddle, tummy rub, and giving a gentle kiss. When life is all too much I bury my head in mummy's arms, because there it's safe and warm.

Favourite foods

I get the same as Nikita, which is Trophy dog food, which is delivered complete with a vet check, a groom, de-flea and worming all thrown in. They feed me yummy meaty things too, if I am good. I also get a healthy range of treats like bone biscuits, Snausages, pigs ears and the like. I just discovered dog chocs too, and they are something else! I will howl for them anytime

Family Relatives

Since I was born, my auntie Gemma has had puppies with uncle Jaffa. I am not allowed to meet them because they are too small, but mum says they are really cute! Mum-dog Cally has also been busy with some other babies too, as grandma Maddie has. So I guess the family is pretty busy!

I still see my sister Cricket, usually beating me at shows, and I hear stories about my brother Brody, who used to run on the property with me all the time. Apparently he can open doors!

References

Ian and Jennie (the boss dogs) think I am just adorable, and the cats in the pack, Firefrost, Pyrite and Rosey seem to like me as long as I don't squash them.
